From Questions to Validation Rules: Introducing AI Chatbots in Truugo

Data and AI Integrations
26.8.2026

Imagine you are working on validating invoice data. You know what needs to be checked, but translating the requirement into a concrete validation rule takes time. You search through documentation, test different approaches, and iterate—until finally, you get it right.

Now imagine asking a question instead—and getting a usable answer instantly.

This is one of the ideas behind the new AI chatbot capabilities in Truugo, helping users move from requirements to working validation rules faster than ever before.

Making Truugo Easier to Explore and Use

Truugo has always focused on making data validation accessible and efficient. With the introduction of AI chatbots, we take the next step: lowering the barrier to getting started and helping users get more value from the platform faster.

Instead of navigating documentation or figuring things out manually, users can now interact with Truugo in natural language—asking questions, exploring features, and even building validation logic.

To support different user needs, three specialised chatbots have been introduced.

Three Chatbots, Three Roles
1. Customer Advisor

The Customer Advisor helps users understand what Truugo is and how it can be used in their specific context.

It can answer questions related to:

  • Core features and functionalities
  • Key benefits and value proposition
  • Use cases and industry applications
  • Pricing at a high level

This chatbot is available even without logging in, making it easier for new users to explore Truugo and quickly understand its value.

2. Application Guide

The Application Guide focuses on helping users navigate and use the platform effectively. It can:

  • Explain features in detail
  • Recommend functionalities based on user needs
  • Provide step-by-step instructions

This reduces the time needed to get started and helps users adopt features they might not otherwise discover, making it easier to become productive with Truugo more quickly.

3. Technical Expert

The Technical Expert is designed for users building validation logic. Instead of manually defining rules, users can describe what they want to achieve.

For example:

A user wants to ensure that an invoice contains tax breakdowns for each applied tax rate. They can ask:

  • “Create a rule that checks that the invoice includes a tax breakdown for every tax rate used.”

The chatbot may ask clarifying questions, propose a rule, and refine it based on user feedback. The result is a validation rule that the user can directly add to their test profile.

This significantly speeds up the process of creating new test assertions and reduces the amount of manual work required to translate business requirements into technical validation rules.

The chatbot builds validation rules based on user-provided sample data, ensuring that its suggestions reflect the actual structure and content of the message being tested.

Users may still need to guide the chatbot by indicating where relevant data elements are located. However, in practice, it can often identify the correct elements automatically—especially for widely used formats.

Built with Responsibility in Mind

The chatbot functionality is built on Microsoft Azure AI, aligning with Truugo’s cloud infrastructure.

Special attention has been given to data protection:

  • User inputs are not used to train AI models
  • Data residency is restricted to the EU
Supporting, Not Replacing

The AI chatbots are not a separate product—they are an integrated part of the Truugo experience.

Their purpose is simple:

  • Help new users understand the service
  • Help existing users work more efficiently

By combining documentation, guided assistance, and AI capabilities, Truugo enables users to move from questions to concrete actions faster than before.

Available Now in Beta

Chatbot features are currently available in beta.

  • The Customer Advisor is accessible without registration
  • The Application Guide and Technical Expert require login

The chatbots primarily operate in English but are designed to respond in the user’s language, making them accessible to a global audience.

Whether you are evaluating Truugo for the first time, learning the platform, or building validation rules, the new AI chatbots help you turn questions into working results faster and with less effort.

We encourage all users to try the new capabilities and share feedback to help us improve them further.
